1951 Series I

This 1951 Land Rover Series I belonged to a friend of Marc’s who purchased the vehicle in Arizona with plans to undertake the restoration himself. When time became an obstacle, the project made its way to Singing Camel Land Rovers.

It arrived at the shop on the back of a trailer — and in numerous pieces.

Fortunately, beneath the disassembled vehicle was a remarkably solid foundation. Marc began with the frame and axles and found the chassis to be in generally good condition, requiring only minor frame repairs.

The old Singing Camel archive contained an extensive photographic record of the project. Its final outcome is not documented in the material recovered so far, so this record remains marked as current until more history is confirmed.
