1960 Series II 88 SWB

This 1960 Land Rover Series II 88 SWB underwent a complete frame-off restoration and was assembled using the best components from Land Rovers sourced from opposite sides of the country.

The Series II body, frame and transmission came from a vehicle in Montana. A Series III donor arrived from Massachusetts, but northeastern rust had taken a heavy toll on its firewall and frame. Its engine, however, showed healthy compression and was retained for the project.

The finished Rover was painted British Racing Green. The restoration was completed while Marc was still working from rented space, before Singing Camel had a permanent shop of its own.
